6/2/23 – This is a scarce DWM military “sneak” Luger from the Weimar period. These are typically termed Sneak Lugers based on the lack of any identifying manufactures markings and proof marks, which the Nazis did to disguise their early rearmament efforts. This one has a blank toggle and originally had no chamber date. It does have a “1920” marking, but this is a government property marking, likely an indication it went to a police arsenal. All numbered parts are matching. Weimar-era proofs on the right side of the slide. There is a police sear safety and a unit marking on the front strap. The entire gun has been refinished, so the bluing is really nice. There is just minor muzzle wear and hints of wear on the side plate and front edges of the side rails. Some very minor dulling on the back strap and tiny handling marks on the front strap. Fitted with minty un-numbered wood grips and comes with a mismatched magazine. Mint bore.
