1/31/24 – This is a nice example of a Colt US single action artillery model. The action is tight and smooth. The frame is “US” property marked and all numbered parts are matching. This is especially scarce, because these artillery models are almost always mismatched. The barrel is not numbered and measures 5.5″. The finish rates roughly 50% with spotty brown “attic patina” throughout. Some tiny dings on the butt of the frame, underside of the trigger guard, and on the cylinder. But overall, it is in nice condition for its age. Some tiny dings on the underside of the barrel. Fitted with wood grips – minor bruising on both sides and small dings on the bottom edges. Very nice bore for its age with good rifling.
