12/6/22 – This is a very nice scarce BYF 44 Mauser P.38 issued to the Nazi military in 1944. It is all matching and has mixed “Eagle 135” and “Waffen 135” proofs. It is in the proper “q” suffix serial range for this variation. It comes as a rig with a very nice 1944-dated pebble grain holster, a “Waffen 135” marked magazine, and an “Eagle 135” marked magazine – just like the gun! The gun itself has retained about 93% of its original finish. There is minor wear around the muzzle and on the high edges of the slide. Minor thinning on the front strap and underside of the trigger guard. Fitted with a set of excellent reddish bakelite grips. The bore is mint. De-cocker is functional.
