1/17/22 – This is a nice example of an uncommon 1909 Mauser sniper rifle that was part of a contract order by the Argentine military. This is an example of an early Model 1909 Mauser rifle as manufactured under commercial contract by DWM for the country of Argentina, that was produced as a low turret sniper rifle. These early sniper rifles were all supplied with Zeiss scopes using low turret mounts, but this one has an after-market Jena scope with clear optics. This is the first example we’ve sold but we believe the scope mounts are original, but the rings were added when the scope was. Matching numbers on receiver, trigger group, bolt. Import mark on right side of receiver. Thinning of the bluing on the barrel and front band. Bore has strong rifling but some frost throughout. Excellent stock with just a few minor dings.
