9/25/23 – This 1940 dated Mauser Luger is all original and has the rare, reddish Krieghoff grips on it. A very small set of 1940 lugers have these grips on them from the factory. It is assumed that they experimented with the HK grips as an option before they started making their own black plastic grips. These grips are found in the G to K blocks, so the F block is right in the middle of this group of 1940 Lugers. This one is all matching and comes with one original matching magazine. The majority of the wear is on the grip straps, where there is also some pin-pricking. The grips are excellent. The bore has decent rifling, but there is pin-pricking throughout.
