8/28/24 – This is an excellent example of a Saginaw M1 Carbine issued to the US military in 1943-44. A complete parts list with markings is included in the photos. An adjustable rear sight and bayonet lug were added, most likely for use during the Korean War. The finish on the metal parts rates about 96% with just very minor high edge and muzzle wear. The wood furniture is excellent with just very minor handling marks here and there. There is an “SG” cartouche on the right side of the butt stock and what appears to be a rack number on the inside of the sling well. The bore is shiny with strong rifling, but there is some very light pin-pricking toward the muzzle end. Comes with a canvas sling, oiler, and one magazine.
