8/2/22 – This is a Saginaw M1 Carbine from 1943. A full parts guide is included in the photos for this listing. It’s all correct or nearly all correct parts, though it does look like something of a “put-together” as there are color differences between the stock and handguard, as well as the receiver and recoil plate. The stock also has an arsenal marking on the left side which would indicate some level of rework. The metal finish is very nice overall but the receiver does have some minor flaking. The stock is in great shape but was sanded at some point. The bore is shiny with strong rifling but there are a few patches of minor pitting. Postwar canvas sling.
