7/14/22 – This is an original, early SA dagger with an original scabbard and hanger. The hand guard of the dagger is dedicated to “J. Wildmoser” on one side, and dated “30.4.34” on the other. The date side also has a small factory “OH” gruppe stamp as well. The dedication on the hand guard appears professionally added and shows wear congruent with the rest of the piece, telling us that this is an original dedication from 1934. A very cool piece of history. The dagger blade has a few small chips along the upper edge, and there are spots of oxidation & surface wear throughout. The wood handle is in great condition with no cracks or chips. The scabbard is the early anodized metal style. There is some mild patina throughout and a small dent near the tip. The hanger is original and unmarked.
