10/25/24 – This is a good example of an RZM SA Dagger made in 1941 by Tigerwerk Lauterjung & Co.. This dagger is in overall good condition, the blade does have shadowing and patina throughout. However, the factory cross graining and inscription is still easily recognizable and legible. The blade has typical wear consistent with scabbard use, and has no signs of sharpening. The forward of this blade is etched with “Alles Fur Deutschland” which means “Everything for Germany” this was the motto of the Sturmabteilung, the SA, Hitler’s infamous Brown Shirts. The reverse of the blade is RZM and date marked with “RZM M7/68” and “1941”. The handle of the blade is in good shape with the aluminum eagle still present and the SA medallion. The SA medallion has some oxidation, but the enamel paint is still intact. The nickeled, non-magnetic, fittings have loss of the nickel finish, but some of this finish is still present. The scabbard on this dagger is also in good condition and remains straight with no dents. The majority of the brown enamel paint on the scabbard is still present with some chips in the paint along the edges of the scabbard. Like the nickeled fittings on the dagger, the fittings on the scabbard also have sections of finish loss.
