3/17/23 – This is an original later wartime production Hitler Youth Knife. The blade is later due to the ricasso size and lack of inscription on the blade. There is however an RZM maker stamp by Arthur Schuttelhofer, who’s a desirable maker of these youth knives. The blade has some dark discoloration and surface patina throughout. There’s some darker (perhaps dried blood) stains near the tip of the blade on each side. The leather stopper is still attached and intact. The metal crossguard and hilt of this example has surface patina and natural aging wear but no excessive damage or discoloration. The grips have strong checkering and no cracks or chips. Comes with an original scabbard with leather frog in good overall condition.
