7/27/23 – This is a very nice example of a scarce Russian SVT-40. Made in 1941 at the Izhevsk factory, it’s mismatched throughout but not a refurbished or import marked example. The receiver and magazine are ‘SA’ marked, indicating Finnish capture. Not much bluing loss on the metal parts, but minor, spotty oxidation in some areas. Stock is in good condition but has some minor chips. Faint cartouches are still visible on the right face. Comes with cleaning rod. Bore has strong rifling but is frosted and very dirty, and in need of a good cleaning.
