6/7/21 – This is an excellent example of a Romanian MD-65 AKM rifle from 1969. All original with hardly any signs of use or wear, including a minty bore. Has the early reverse done front handgaurd and early milled type folding stock arms. This is built on an original blued parts kit with matching numbers on receiver cover, front trunnion, bolt , bolt carrier, recoil spring guide and gas tube. Leaf sight and safety lever are unnumbered. Built on Childers receiver with Romanian Fire markings blued to match. New Romanian barrel. Test fired only. Markings on receiver show ‘Safe’, ‘Semi’ and ‘Auto’ for cool factor but this is a semi auto rifle only. Wood furniture is excellent and is professionally tinted and polished to matching state and an addition of early MD-63 wood grip makes the set uniform and matching. Comes with a 30 round mag and a Romanian period correct sling and bayonet. Bayonet blade and scabbard are matching numbers, but mismatched to the serial of the rifle.
