4/12/22 – This is a mostly original Rock-Ola M1 Carbine that was partially re-worked after the war. It still has most of the the original Rock-Ola, including receiver, recoil plate, barrel and stock. The finish is also original but shows general thinning and patina overall. Bore is fairly shiny with good rifling but does have minor frost throughout. Adjustable rear sight and bayo lug added after the war. Many small parts are replacements, such as the later safety variation. Original mag pouch which is 1943 dated with two original mags, and the gun is photographed with a postwar “banana” mag.
