5/5/23 – This is a nice example of a Remington UMC Model 51 manufactured in 1918-21 and chambered in .380 ACP. This is a Type I variant, characterized by having no Remington logo, no caliber marking on the barrel, and 9 slide serrations. The gun has retained only roughly 30% of its original finish with obvious wear throughout. Light spotty brown patina on the grip straps. A series of tiny dings on the back of the slide. Fitted with nice period-correct black bakelite grips. Comes with one proper magazine. The rifling in the bore is fairly worn with tiny pitting in the grooves.
