9/16/24 – This is an excellent example of a WW2 Model 1911A1 refurbished and sold to the public through the CMP Program. The frame was made by Ithaca and dates to 1943. The slide is actually a scarce 2nd Variation Remington Rand slide. The barrel is a more modern replacement. Comes with a post-war magazine. The gun comes with its original matching-numbered CMP certificate and photocopies of the original Shipping Documents. According to these documents, this one was shipped to the Naval Supply Depot in Oakland, CA on March 27, 1944. There is very little actual finish loss on the gun – just some tiny marks and scratches. Excellent bore with great rifling.
