5/4/22 – This is a very nice example of a Remington Model 1911A1 issued to the US military in 1942-43. This one is a scarce 2nd variation example with a proper 2nd variation slide and a proper main spring housing. Also has a correct HS barrel. The gun has retained about 97% of its finish, but the slide has been refinished. There is very minor thinning on the front strap, minor muzzle wear, and a few very light scratches on the left side of the frame. Comes with excellent period-correct plastic grips and a proper WW2-era magazine. The bore has great rifling, but there is very minor frosting in the grooves.
