10/25/23 – This is a WW1 era Remington made P1913 Enfield Rifle bayonet. The bayonet is in great overall condition and comes with an original scabbard. The bayonet blade has some dark surface oxidation and spotty discoloration, but no rust or pitting. The edge is clean with no nicks or dings, and only some very light signs of sharpening. The base of the blade is British proof stamped, and US stamped on one side, and the other side is maker stamped and 1917 dated (with a 1913 designation stamp). The hand guard and pommel have dark browning patina throughout. Nice wood handles. The scabbard has a very faint maker stamp on the backside but it’s too hard to decipher. Great overall condition on the scabbard with natural surface wear and aging throughout.
