1/11/22 – This is a nice Remington Model 1917 rifle from 1918. Mostly original Remington parts throughout, but stock was lightly sanded and treated and has no visible markings. Flaming bomb and ‘R’ present on bolt and barrel. Barrel is marked with a date of April, 1918. Nice parkerized finish throughout with minimal handling wear. The wood parts are in excellent condition with just one minor cosmetic defect on top of the handguard. Bore has strong rifling but some frost throughout. It’s also very dirty and in need of a thorough cleaning.
