6/5/24 – This is an original WW1 production Remington M1917 bayonet. The bayonet is in great overall condition and comes with an original scabbard. The bayonet blade is British proof stamped at the base, which indicates this was most likely paired with an Enfield rifle during WW1. The other side of the blade base is maker stamped and 1913 dated. The blade has mild patina throughout but no major issues. The blade edge shows mild sharpening and has a few small nicks but these are minimal. Natural patina on the hand guard and pommel. Nice, original wood handles. The scabbard is in great condition with natural aging and surface wear. Overall a great example.
