5/4/22 – This is a nice example of a Remington Model 1911A1 issued to the US military in 1942-43. This one is a scarce 2nd variation example with a proper 2nd variation slide and a proper main spring housing. Also has a correct HS barrel. The gun has retained roughly 80% of its original finish. There are areas of thinning in the finish and tiny dots of oxidation throughout. Comes with excellent period-correct plastic grips and a proper WW2-era magazine. The bore has good rifling, but there are tiny dots of oxidation throughout.
