7/22/22 – This is an original 1943 production Remington model 1903-A4 sniper rifle. The rifle is in great overall condition with an excellent parkerized finish throughout the metal parts. The finish is original on the metal, we believe, and there is some mild signs of aging and patina, but no major issues. The barrel has mild finish loss, is correctly Remington Arsenal stamped, and dated 1943. The bore is shiny and in near mint condition overall. The scope is a commercial Weaver model 330 which is correct for an earlier WW2 US Sniper. Excellent, clear optics and reticle. Comes with a correct Redfield mount. The stock is excellent with no cracks or chips, and arsenal stamped “RIA EB”. Mechanically sound and a beautiful piece of US history.
