3/13/19 – This is a Remington 1903-A3 that was built post WW2 out of all vintage parts to become a “faux” 1903-A4 sniper rifle. Built on a Remington 03-A3 receiver and barrel. The receiver and barrel appear to be post WW2 arsenal refinished with a 1913 date and flaming bomb on the barrel (very faint and hard to read). The scope is vintage WW2 Lyman Alaskan (proper scope for the 03 A4 platform) and mounted on Redfield scope rings and mount. Vintage WW2 arsenal replacement stock with no stamps or markings, but in great condition. Cut for use with sniper bolt. The bore is shiny with strong rifling – 9/10 overall. Smooth action and fully functional. Comes with an original ww2 canvas sling. Priced well for a nice vintage “shooter” sniper rifle.
