6/1/21 – This is an excellent example of a “Red 9” Mauser C96 rig that was initially issued to the Imperial German army during WW1. It was then reworked by the police force in 1920. The barrel was shortened and a “S. MI. 2. 107.” police unit marking was added. It stands for “Schutz Polizei Minden”. The gun has the proper Red 9 grips that match the gun. The gun is all matching and “Crown U” proofed. It has retained about 95% of its bluing. There is minor wear on the side rails and a few very minor dings here and there. It comes with a mismatched Imperial-proofed wood stock. There is a name written faintly on the side. The bore is excellent – shiny with strong rifling.
