10/4/24 – This is a very nice example of a Red 9 Mauser C96 issued to the Imperial German military during WW1. It is all matching and has the proper proofs. Unit marking on the front strap. We believe this one was reworked and issued to the Nazi police force, given its characteristics – the barrel has been shortened and the rear sight was milled. There is an “S. Kg. 7. 5.” unit marking on the front strap and a “1920” government property marking on the slide. The gun has retained about 90% of its finish with general high edge wear and some patina on the base plate. Fitted with original matching-numbered “Red 9” grips. Very nice bore.
