10/10/23 – This is an excellent example of a very rare “Zero Series” Walther P.38, manufactured in 1945. They are called a zero series because the serial numbers start with a zero. Only 1,750 of these were produced according to Whittington’s book. This one is all matching and has “Eagle 359” military acceptance proofs. It has retained about 94% of its late-war finish. The frame has a really nice plum color. The only notable sign of wear is spotty discoloration along the right side of the slide and barrel. Fitted with reddish bakelite grips and comes with an “Eagle 359” marked magazine. Mint bore. De-cocker is functional.
