3/29/22 – This is a rare and desirable Winchester Model 1873 Saddle Ring Carbine. It was manufactured in 1894 and is chambered in .44 WCF. 20 inch barrel. The gun is matching and in fair condition overall. There is significant finish loss on the back half of the receiver and areas of pitting on virtually all of the metal parts. Areas of spotty discoloration along the whole barrel and some more even discoloration on both sides of the receiver. The stock has a tiny hairline crack just behind the tang, a tiny wood repair on the top edge of the butt stock just in front of the butt plate, and small chip in the underside of the butt stock up against the butt plate. The rifling in the bore is a bit worn with pitting throughout.
