5/9/24 – This is an original, rare variation M1 Garand Bayonet from WW2. The bayonet is maker marked by Wilde Tool at the base of the blade on one side. There’s also a flaming bomb ordnance stamp, 1942 date, and US stamp in this location. The blade is uncut, 16 inches and in great overall condition, with honest surface wear throughout. This is dark discoloration and surface oxidation here and there, and some surface scratches throughout the edge. Light natural surface patina is present throughout the hand guard and pommel. The grips are correct, early variation with the iconic black rectangle in the middle (a Wilde Tool exclusive feature). Grip panels are in excellent condition. Comes with an original scabbard, which is also in great condition with no major issues. This example shows honest use and likely saw action during WW2. These are highly sought after, early US WW2 production bayonets.
