5/17/23 – This is a rare commercial Walther PPK from 1938 with million series serial number. In 1939, serial numbers began rolling over into seven digits until the Germans changed their mind and went back to six digits with a K-suffix. There were only about 7,000 such serials used, and about 1,000 of them were Police marked. This is one of the 6,000 commercial examples, and it has retained somewhere between 85-90% of its original high polish finish. There is wear around the muzzle, spotty wear along the right side of the slide, a small area of wear at the back left of the slide, and some minor dulling on the front strap. Fitted with a period-correct brown bakelite grip – a few hairline cracks on both sides. Comes with a period-correct Walther banner-only magazine. Mint bore.
