7/1/19 – This is a very rare Walther PPK from near the end of the Nazi era. It is all matching with factory original chrome finish. Most people would look at this pistol and assume it was refinished by a GI, but there were about 200 chrome finished PPKs produced in 1944. Around serial 417xxx, there is a solid block of chromed guns. They have unique features such as the duraluminum frame, blued rear sight and chrome magazine with black finger extension. Of the 200 guns produced, only about 25 are known to still exist. They were all made in 1944 for some special reason or presentation, but that information is lost to history. This particular pistol is in fantastic condition, with a few minor surface scuffs and scratches, and some minor muzzle wear. Excellent bore and grip.
