9/26/22 – This is an excellent example of a rare Walther PP issued to the Nazi police force in 1944. This one is all matching and has a police “Eagle C” marking on the left side of the frame. Only about 2,000 of this variation were made, as opposed to the more common “Eagle F” variant (about 5,000 made). This one also has a post-war French lanyard loop installed on the frame. It comes as a rig with a generic leather holster (we believe the Nazi markings are post-war), one period-correct wartime flat bottom magazine, and one post-war finger extension magazine. The gun itself has retained about 98% of its bluing. There is just very minor muzzle wear and tiny scratches and handling marks here and there, most obvious along the slide. Comes with period-correct black bakelite grips – a hairline crack along the left edge of the left panel. Mint bore.
