5/26/23 – This is an original, rare variation of the USMC Marine Raider Stiletto knife with a leather M6 scabbard. The knife is in great overall condition, with a USMC etched engraving on one side, about halfway down the blade. The base of the blade is maker marked by Camillus, as shown. Both of the markings on the blade are fading with age but still visible. The blade shows dark surface patina and mild oxidation near the tip, central ridge, and base. There are a few light surface scratches along the edges of the blade as well. However, the edges appear unsharpened. The zinc handle has a sharp diamond pattern and is in great condition. The leather scabbard is excellent and unmarked. These knives were made in 1942 for the US Marine Corps, with approximately 14,000 produced. They often saw heavy use, but this example is in great overall condition.
