4/4/22 – This is a rare triple-barreled Type 90 Japanese Flare pistol from WW2. Only about 5,100 of these three barreled flare guns were made for the Imperial Japanese Navy (and twice as many double-barreled versions were made). The top of the flare pistol has a small anchor proof stamp, as shown. There is some original paint on each barrel, with some mild surface wear and finish loss throughout. There’s also light patina and spots of missing finish accompanied by rust colored patina throughout the piece. Still in great overall condition with a fully functional break-away style. The bakelite grip panels have no cracks or chips. A great example of a rare Japanese Navy flare pistol.
