2/27/24 – This is a rare transitional Colt 1911 that was manufactured in 1924. Fewer than 10,000 Colt 1911s were made that year, and they are known to have transitional features from the 1911 to the 1911A1. The pistol is original aside from a Springfield replacement barrel. The finish rates roughly 75-80%. Generally, there is high edge wear, spotty wear on the slide, and thinning on the grip straps. Fitted with period-correct wood grips and comes with an “L” marked magazine. The bore has good rifling with minor frosting in the grooves.
