4/1/22 – This is the rarest of all the Army-issued Mauser HSc’s! In 1941, Mauser ceased production of the model 1934 in favor of the HSc, and some of the first several thousand procured bear the same proofs as the model 1934 – Eagle/655 on trigger guard and the Army test proof on the grip tang. There were only 3,000 of this variation produced, with said markings and high-polish blue finish. This one has about 98% of its original bluing left. Minor high edge wear on the slide and frame but no noteworthy areas of bluing loss and no pitting. Excellent grips with no chips or cracks. Banner magazine that does have a small dent in the base. Minty bore.
