7/15/22 – This is possibly the most complete grouping you’ll find of the rare Swiss Bern ZFK 55 sniper rifle. The Swiss ZFK 55 (Zielfernrohr-Karabiner 55) is a tack-driving marksman rifle, and this is one of only ~4,150 produced. These were produced under contract for the Swiss Government and used in military service until they were replaced by the SIG 550. While it is modeled after the K31, it shares few components with the K31. It has a heavier barrel with integrated compensator and an attached folding bipod. This particular example has matching numbers throughout, including the magazine and KERN 3.5 optic. The original finish rates at about 90% with some wear around the compensator and the right side receiver edge. The wood stock is in great condition but there is one small (not deep) crack on the top-neck of the wood. The optics are crystal clear and this one is equipped with the correct sling, and our consignor says this one is wonderful to shoot. But the rifle is only a small part of this grouping. The matching numbered scope can is included, as well as a sealed brick of GP11 ammo (480rds, worth $600 on its own). Then you have an original Swiss Army helmet, as well as the 1955 Swiss Army horsehair backpack with the original Gortex that dates back to 1918. The listing also includes an original Swiss bayonet and scabbard, and a leather ammo bandolier with cardboard strippers and a practice dummy round clip. Would take ages to piece another such grouping together bit by bit.
