03/05/2024 – This is a World War II era Stevens model 416 training rifle. This gun was part of a 10,000 rifle contract that the United States military ordered for use in basic firearms training. It is marked U.S. PROPERTY and also shows the flaming bomb on the receiver. The stock is in very good condition with a few minor dings and scratches, but no chips or cracks. The receiver and metal condition are excellent, with very little finish loss on the receiver and barrel, but there are small spots of finish loss throughout. The rifle comes with one 5 round magazine. The rifle is also missing its rear aperture sight and only has a front sight.
