3/2/23 – This is a nice example of a desirable Springfield Armory M1 Garand from December of 1941. Serial dates it to that month, and the barrel also has a 12-41 date. Uncut op-rod. Original Springfield parts throughout, aside from the stock which is a later replacement. Excellent finish on the metal parts aside from the gas tube, which shows wear all over. The bore has pronounced rifling but is dirty and heavily frosted. We believe it would benefit from a thorough cleaning. ME is a 5, TE is a 1. The stock is in great shape with minor dings, and has a circle P proof on the wrist. Comes with an original leather sling.
