2/27/24 – This is a rare military 1911, made at Springfield Armory. One of only ~30k produced at Springfield for WW1. Many original “S” marked parts, except for the barrel which is an “H P” Colt barrel. The finish rates somewhere between 85-90%. While there isn’t a ton of actual finish loss, there is noticeable brown attic patina throughout. Fitted with period-correct wood grips and comes with a proper two-tone magazine. The bore has great rifling, but there is light spotty surface oxidation throughout – might clean up nice.
