1/4/24 – This is a rare military 1911, made in 1911 at Springfield Armory. One of only ~30k produced at Springfield for WW1. All original “S” marked parts. Barrel is marked with only an ‘S’ on side of lug. The original blue rates roughly 80% with general high edge wear, wear along the top of the slide, and thinning on the grip straps. There is spotty oxidation and brown patina on the front grip strap as well. Minty bore. Excellent period-correct wood grips. Early WW1-era mag with two-tone finish and lanyard ring. The barrel bushing is a bit “buggered” but functions fine.
