10/12/23 – This is a rare Spreewerk P.38 from December of 1944 with FN-produced frame. There were only 1,200 of this variation produced, from 400x-1600x serial range. This can be identified by the ‘m’ on the frame, and this one is a less common subvariation that still has an E/88 proof on frame. This particular example is all matching and original with 97-98% of the blue remaining. Minor high edge wear on the muzzle and front edge of slide, and light thinning of the front strap. Minty bore. Excellent red grips with no cracks. De-cocker is functional. Late-war mag with large ‘U’ on body.
