9/21/20 – This is a stunning example of an early S&W model Pre-27 revolver, chambered in .357 magnum, in its original matching box. The gun appears like new aside from one very noticeable scratch on the right side of the frame. We sold this one a couple years back, and unfortunately, the receiving dealer cut the package open carelessly and put a deep scratch in the frame with their knife. Otherwise, it’s almost mint. This is an early gun, made probably around 1951. It is all matching, including the barrel, cylinder, frame and grips. The gun has the rarely seen barrel length of 5 inches, and is the most difficult Pre-27 barrel length for a collector to acquire. Mint bore and grips. Beautiful, lustrous blue throughout. Original box is in equally nice condition and is numbered to the gun.
