3/10/22 – This is a very nice example of a rare Sauer Behorden pistol. This is a Sauer Model 1913 issued to the Nazi-era Prussian State Police. This is evidenced by the “Starburst K” marking on the web of the trigger guard. This was the last iteration of this pistol before they switched over to the 38h. They were marketed to and almost exclusively sold to Nazi-era police organizations. They had added safety features, such as the additional trigger safety, making them appealing for police. Very few of these guns were produced. This particular gun is all matching and has a “5/I. 33.” police unit marking on the front strap. It comes as a rig with a nice tan leather 1937-dated police holster and two period-correct magazines. It has retained about 90% of its original finish. Most of the wear is around the muzzle and on the round edges of the slide. There is also very minor thinning on the grip straps and an area of spotty discoloration on the back strap. Comes with excellent period-correct black bakelite grips. Mint bore.
