3/22/22 – This is a rare, original Remington-UMC 1911 barrel from 1918-19 with a minty bore. Remington-UMC produced only ~21,000 Model 1911 pistols, all in 1918 or 1919. Their barrels are unmarked aside from a single P proof that’s visible through the ejection port when the barrel is installed. The bluing on this one is original and in good condition, but does show some thinning, especially on the area visible through the ejection port. The bore, however, is minty and looks like it’s seen very little use. Strong rifling, very shiny, not pitting or frost.
