12/13/22 – This is a rare variation, only 1100 issued to the Police in 1940-41. It has the early high polish commercial finish. 60 degree safety and banner only magazine. Finish is at about 97% with some minor “dulling” on the finish of the grip straps. The slide is beautiful with the exception of a few scratches and a rub mark on the right hand side behind the ejector port. Most likely from rubbing something in the holster. It has the correct wartime grips. The matching slide has the proper number (117) etched inside. The Eagle/C marking is double struck. This is very common with the Walther police marks, but the reason I am certain this is an authentic marking is due to the serial. It falls within a very small band of serial numbers where ALL of the guns were E/C marked. This is in the middle of that serial band.
