1/26/23 – This is a nice example of a rare Sauer Behorden pistol. This is a Sauer Model 1913 issued to the Nazi-era Prussian State Police. This is evidenced by the “Star K” police marking on the left side of the trigger guard. This was the last iteration of this pistol before they switched over to the 38h. They were marketed to and almost exclusively sold to Nazi-era police organizations. They had added safety features, such as the additional trigger safety, making them appealing for police. Very few of these guns were produced. This one is all matching and has retained roughly 85% of its original high polish finish. Most of the finish loss is on the grip straps, but there is also some minor, somewhat spotty wear along both sides of the slide and around the muzzle. Fitted with excellent period-correct black bakelite grips and comes as a rig with two proper magazines and a minty 1933-dated police holster. The bore is very nice with great rifling.
