8/15/23 – This is PDM-marked Walther PP manufactured around 1935. In 1935, Himmler ordered about 1,800 PDM marked PP’s as head of all German Internal Security. PDM stands for Police Department of Munich, and the order was unique for the following reasons. These pistols came with a bottom release magazine, while all other 7.65mm PP’s had a push button mag release. These pistols also have a strengthened ‘fluted’ barrel, visible on the muzzle end of the barrel, which a standard PP slide would not fit. This one has been completely professionally restored and refinished. We believe the slide legend was removed and re-applied by laser-engraving. The gun has retained nearly all of its new bluing with just hints of wear on some of the high edges. Fitted with nice period-correct black bakelite grips – small crack on the right side. Comes with a post-war finger extension magazine. Mint bore. Tiny import mark in the magazine well.
