5/24/22 – This is an excellent example of a rare DWM Luger rig. This artillery luger was initially issued to the Imperial German military in 1917. The gun is all matching and has the proper Imperial proofs. As evidenced by the “1920” government property marking on the receiver, the gun was reworked and remained in government service after WW1. At the arsenal, it received a Navy property marking on the back strap and was issued to the German Navy. It comes as a rig with black leather “Nazi Eagle M” (Navy) marked artillery holster, one mismatched Navy marked magazine, and a spare generic military magazine. The leather of the holster is dried and cracking throughout, and some of the stitching is coming apart toward the toe. The gun has retained about 97% of its finish with just minor wear around the muzzle, on the side plate, and on the side rails, minor freckling on the grip straps. Comes with minty matching-numbered wood grips. Minty bore.
