7/31/24 – This is the rarest of all the Army-issued Mauser HSc’s. In 1941, Mauser ceased production of the model 1934 in favor of the HSc, and some of the first several thousand procured bear the same proofs as the model 1934 – Eagle/655 on trigger guard and the Army test proof on the grip tang. There were only 3,000 of this variation produced, with said markings and high-polish blue finish. This one is all matching and has retained about 97% of its finish. There is very minor muzzle wear, one small streak of wear on the front strap, and minor dulling on both grip straps. Fitted with period-correct wood grips – tiny chip in the upper corner of the left panel. Comes with one proper magazine. Minty bore.
