10/5/22 – This is a minty example of a rare, boxed Sauer 38h sold in the commercial market, likely in 1939. The gun is all matching and has the proper “Crown N” commercial proofs. It comes with an original box, owners manual, cleaning tin, oiler bottle, cleaning patches, cleaning brush, and two proper magazines. The edges of the box are starting to tear – the lid is being held together with black tape, and the bottom with clear scotch tape. Unfortunately, the black tape on the lid is covering the serial number, so we cannot see if it is matching to the gun. However, the last digit is visible “8”. So this could be the original matching box. The gun itself has retained nearly all of its original high polish finish. There is very minor thinning on the tang and some small dots of oxidation on the tang and grip straps. Some extremely light scratching on both sides of the slide and on both grip straps. Mint bore.
