6/3/24 – This is a scarce WW2 Luftwaffe Issued Survival Machete. The machete is in excellent, near-mint condition and comes with an original blued metal scabbard and canvas tropical style frog. The machete blade is clean and excellent with a clean, unsharpened edge. The blade measures 16 inches long. Overall length is 20.75 inches. The blade has minimal scabbard rub wear and almost no discoloration. Maker stamped by Alcoso on the base. The hand guard has some mild patina and light surface oxidation but no major issues. Excellent original wood handles. The scabbard has spotty surface discoloration and patina sporadically throughout the exterior. The canvas frog is excellent and minty condition with no markings or stamps.
